Latest Release Updates – 21st September 2022

Harry James

Welcome to the latest Release Updates post.

The cold nights are drawing in again and I’m sure we’re all thinking of ways to save money on keeping ourselves warm during this energy crisis. I personally have a new dressing gown and slippers on the way as I can see myself needing them more and more as we head straight toward the winter months.

Although it might be getting colder, we’re turning up the heat here at StoreFeeder with another firey release! I hope you enjoy using these new features as much as I’m going to enjoy telling you all about them.

As per usual, our developers have been working hard to bring you an exciting update this month. There has been a lot of work in the background but there have been some great updates and new features released in this update, the highlights of which are below:

Amazon Shipping Beta

This one is massive, and something I’m sure many of you reading have been waiting for. We now have an Amazon Shipping integration that’s in its very early life. Given how important this integration is and how many people will want to use it, we want to keep the initial number of users low, to begin with, so that we can monitor results and get feedback from day-to-day users.

If you are interested in being one of the early Amazon Shipping users and providing us with some feedback, you can enquire via our support team here.

Import Unpaid Shopify Orders

Previously, StoreFeeder didn’t import unpaid Shopify orders as we didn’t want any chance of them being accidentally picked when they hadn’t been paid for; however, this posed a problem with inventory as the ordered item(s) would never be taken from stock if the order didn’t import. This caused issues for some more than others but we certainly recognised it as a flaw and as a result have introduced a new feature to help combat it.

You will now have the option to import unpaid orders into StoreFeeder from Shopify. What’s better is, that when the order is paid for, StoreFeeder will simply redownload the order in its new paid-for state.

If you’d like StoreFeeder to start doing this, then you’ll need to switch the option “Import Unpaid Orders” on, found in your Shopify integration as shown below:

Pickwave Data – Packed On

For all the stat folk out there we’ve got a new field that’s landed on the completed pickwave page – Packed On.

Prior to this update, if you weren’t a StoreFeeder app user, there wasn’t any indication of when a pickwave had been completed. Even if you were an app user, there was still only “Started On” (when a picker had scanned the first item in the pickwave) and “Picked On” (when a picker scanned the last item in the pickwave).

Now, with the introduction of the “Packed On” field, all users will be able to see when a pickwave was fully despatched, that is to say, when the last order in the pickwave was despatched.

Shipping Methods – Disabling CN22’s

Previously, it’s only been possible to stop your courier integrations from producing CN22s, meaning that every shipping method created under that courier wouldn’t generate a CN22 when despatched.

However, primarily for our customers in Northern Ireland, this was proving to be a bit impractical. As of this release, we’ve changed it so that you either have the option of disabling CN22s for the entire integration or you can choose whether CN22s are produced per shipping method.

To do this, you’ll need to first make sure that the option to produce CN22s is set to ‘On’ on your courier integration(s). Then, edit the shipping method that you’d like to stop producing CN22s and set “Skip CN22 Generation” to “On” as shown below:

Product Special Attribute Listing Export Token

A small update but one that some have been waiting for. It’s now possible to export your Product Special Attribute via the Listing Import/Export tool in a read-only format.

Finally….

There have been some great new features and fixes implemented in this release and we hope you find them useful in one way or another.

As always we’ll keep working hard to provide you with the best service we can.

From all of us here at StoreFeeder, happy selling.
