A Thank You to All Our Customers

From all of us here at StoreFeeder, we’d like to thank our customers for helping us to make us one of the best multi-channel platforms out there, for both functionality and value.

Both our team and our software will continue to grow as we add more channel and courier integrations, and new useful tools in the coming months. We’re writing new code, ironing out the wrinkles in the old code, and making sure that StoreFeeder is ready to meet the needs of our expanding customer base.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank our veteran customers who have grown alongside us over the years. We really couldn’t have done it without you. To the new customers who are just joining us, you’ve made the right choice, and we’d like to offer you a very warm welcome.

Now, with any growing system, there are likely to be one or two growing pains. A handful of customers have noted that on some days, the service runs a little slower than we’d like it to.

Through the years, we have processed many thousands of your orders, and some of you have so many past orders stored into your interface that they slow down page loading and processing times.

We’re going to be bringing in ways of archiving these, having a good spring clean. Don’t worry, you’ll be able to go back and view your archived orders at any time you like.

For us, our customers are paramount, and the improvements we make to our service are driven by your suggestions.  Our developers are working double time to integrate the next new big features, and to return the service to its usual pace.

If you should ever encounter any issues with your service, there is a new integration you’d like us to include, or you have a suggestion to make your experience better, let us know, and we’ll make your service our priority.

From all of us here, happy selling!

Multi-Select Filters Extended!!

Last month we released a great new feature on the picking page that allowed multiple values to be selected fro the drop down menus on the grid.

Well, this proved so popular and useful to our customers that we have rolled this out onto ALL grids throughout StoreFeeder. Multi1

So now on the Orders page and the Products page, you can filter your views even more precisely using the multi-select filters.

Thanks

Latest updates to StoreFeeder

Today saw the latest round of upgrades and new feature releases to StoreFeeder, so here is a brief overview of some of the main changes that are now live within the software

NEW – Multi-Select Filters on Grids

A new type of filter has been added to the grids used in StoreFeeder to display tabulated information. This filter allows you to select multiple values at once rather than being limited to filter just based on a single value.
Multi1

Currently this has only been implemented on the Outstanding Orders grid on the Picking page, but we’re planning to roll it out to other grids in the coming weeks.

UPGRADE – Shipping Rules – Criteria Weighting

We’ve added an advanced option to Shipping Rules which allows you make some of the criteria in your rules more important when StoreFeeder is deciding which rule to apply.

This new feature is totally optional, and if you choose not to use it then your Shipping Rules will continue to function exactly as before.

For more information about this new feature please see the Knowledge Base article by clicking here

NEW – Redownload Orders

The ‘Delete’ button for external orders (i.e. orders that have downloaded from channel, rather than orders created in StoreFeeder) has been re-labelled to ‘Redownload’.  This is to help make it clearer that clicking that button will cause the order to be deleted from StoreFeeder, but that it will redownload into StoreFeeder, provided that the order still exists on channel, hasn’t been despatched on channel and that the order is less than 7 days old

So, there you go, a roundup of the main upgrades and new features from the latest software release.

If you have any questions or need any assistance with any of these, please contact the StoreFeeder Support Team who will be happy to help you

Thanks

Latest Releases

Here are just a few of the latest updates that are now live on StoreFeeder thanks to User Voice suggestions:

WooCommerce – We now have a WooCommerce integration. This ecommerce platform is growing in popularity so we have made it easier for customers to now integrate. See the user voice suggestion here

Full logging of all inventory changes for products – If you go to an individual product and click on ‘Adjustments’ tab, you will now see a full audit trail for the product which now not only shows manual adjustments, but includes all orders, cancellations, goods in activity and returns. You can also filter these adjustments using the ‘Category’ filter, so you can quickly filter types of inventory changes. See the user voice suggestion here

Remove Order from a Pick Wave – You will see the new ‘Remove Pickwave’ button in the top right of the screen on the edit order page and clicking this when the order is assigned to a pick wave will remove the order from that pick wave and return its status to ‘Complete – Ready to Pick’. See the user voice suggestion here

For more information on any of these latest releases, please contact the Support Team who will be happy to help.

Recent Suggestions – Vote now!

As you can see, making suggestions and voting on User Voice really works!! Here are just a few of the great new ideas that have been submitted recently. If you feel any of these suggestions would benefit you, please go to User Voice and vote!

Add an option to duplicate orders – Would it be useful to be able to duplicate an existing order with the click of a button? Vote here

The ability to save a draft listing for completion and upload to channel later – Would you find it useful to be able to save a listing you are creating so you can come back to it, complete or amend it and upload it later? Vote here

Suggestions currently under review

Here are just a few of the recent User Voice suggestions that we are currently reviewing:

Cancel an order and +1 or -1 from Inventory – The option that after an order is cancelled to be able to select whether to add inventory back to stock or prevent it being added to stock

Record of when and who amended a listing or product – We already record user amendments to orders but users think it would be useful to also record the person that amended a listing or a product

Delete old channels from StoreFeeder – If you have a channel that you no longer use, would it be useful to be able to delete the integration rather than just turn it off? This functionality is available to StoreFeeder Support Staff and we are considering if it is viable to roll this out to Admin Users

Thanks again for all your suggestions, please keep them coming!! StoreFeeder users come up with great suggestions and every idea is looked at. If you like an idea, vote! When ideas gain support, we listen and see if it is possible.

Look out for more updates next month!

StoreFeeder has a new Magento API

We have spent the last month writing a new Magento API for StoreFeeder that was released last week. This new API is for use with the Community Edition of Magento and has improved, as well as added, performance for listing to and managing your Magento Stores.

We have also added the improved support for configurable products on Magento and added the independent attributes with an updated grid to the listings page. This feature allows you complete control of the variants that you are listing as well as treating the variants on the listing separately from the existing ones set on the product.

If you are using the current Magento API you will see a message informing you to contact our support team on 0843 5236 610 for more information. For more information on Magento Community click here.

Managing Stock across Multiple Warehouses

Many of our clients have fulfilment warehouses in multiple countries around the world, in many instances it makes sense to have the product stored, processed and distributed from the country the order is placed in.

However, as a business owner, the challenge of knowing your worldwide inventory levels for a particular product is a complex one and can involve multiple logins to multiple stock systems and by the very nature of the setup, will never be a true live picture.

StoreFeeder can offer a solution that provides the ability to see exactly what your total worldwide inventory level is as well as the quantity available in each fulfilment centre in each country.

StoreFeeder was built on the principle that variation products are products in their own right, this allows you to list variation products i.e. a red t-shirt in Size M as either part of a variation listing on channel (Red T-Shirt available in S,M,L & XL), or as a individual product listing on channel (Red T-Shirt Size M). So, as each variation is a product in its own right, you can have a country or warehouse location as a variation.

So a product that is sold in, for example, the UK, Germany and Australia should be set up as a variation product as normal, and then each fulfilment centre around the world is set up as a variation product.

This means that when you are viewing the product in StoreFeeder you will be able to see the total worldwide stock level at master product level, but drilling down into the product will show the stock levels available at each worldwide location. Simple!!

In our example product here, you will see that the product has 3 different warehouse locations and the worldwide inventory level for the product is 23, made up of 10 units in the UK, 5 in Germany and 8 in Australia

And because each variation is a product in its own right, you can list just the Australian held stock on your Australian channels, just your UK stock on your UK channels and so on.

You will see that there are 10 units available on the eBay UK listing which matches the 10 units showing in the UK warehouse on the variation listing in StoreFeeder

And the good news continues, because of the way StoreFeeder handles stock and different warehouses, only orders ordered on Australian channels will be exported via FTP to the Australian fulfilment house, or they can process the orders through StoreFeeder with appropriate restriction settings so they only see the orders that are for them.

Each variant can also have different suppliers as well, so if your source the Australian version in Australia and the UK version in the UK, then StoreFeeder can also handle this.

So, if you have warehouses in multiple countries and need an effective inventory management solution, give our team a call and we will be happy to talk you through the options and methodology.

New DPD Carrier Integration

Multi-channel retailing

StoreFeeder can now offer customers the ability to print delivery labels via the DPD Ship@Ease system. This is one of many new shipping integrations that are being introduced over the next few months, meaning smoother and easier label production methods for all your distribution methods.

DPD offer an extensive range of domestic and international shipping solutions, all of which can be accessed and utilised through the StoreFeeder integration.

DPD are the choice of parcel carrier for our fulfilment partners UK Fulfilment and offer a fantastic 1 hour delivery slot service which advises your customers of the time to expect their parcel via SMS text and email. Access to the feature is also available through the StoreFeeder integration.

There is a full Knowledge Base article on how to setup the DPD integration and process labels through it. This can be found by clicking here

We are already working on an improved DPD integration to provide an even better carrier solution for our clients.

Please be aware that in order to use this, you must already hold a DPD account and have access to their Ship@Ease software. If you do not have an account with DPD, please contact the StoreFeeder office who will be happy to advise.

For more information on the Ship@Ease software you can watch this nice video courtesy of DPD!

The evolution of StoreFeeder

Some of our clients may already be aware of how StoreFeeder was conceived, so to speak. We were born from a basic warehouse management system built for our sister company (we share premises), UK Fulfilment.

The original online warehouse management system was conceived in the mid 1990’s and was very basic and crude, but allowed our clients to login and place orders for their stock online for us to deliver to the customer.

This ran for many years and ran the warehouse activities for many hig profile clients in conjuction with telephone and mail orders.

In the mid 2000’s this system evolved again to include an API link to the clients website which meant orders would come directly into our system when an order was received. This may seem the norm now but back then this was high tech!

It was around 2009 when the initial concept of StoreFeeder beagn to emerge and we explored the possibility of linking eBay and Amazon accounts as well as the clients websites.

And there you have it! 2 upgrades later and here we are with StoreFeeder V2 which is virtually unrecognisable from the basic 1990’s software on which the concept was born. The only recognisable aspect of the software is that it still manages the warehouse for UK Fulfilment and its clients.

Not many pieces of software can claim that they actually use the software themselves, but we can, our own software runs our own warehouse.

For more information on UK Fulfilment and the services that they offer, visit their webiste at www.ukfulfilment.co.uk or give us a call and we will be happy to discuss this with you.
