Welcome to the latest Release Update blog post.
This is more like it. A lot less time has passed since our last update and already I’ve got a host of brand new features to tell you about. I could write an intro here with some chatter about the weather or current events in the world but I say nay to that today; I’ve missed writing about new things too much – Lets get straight into the good stuff!
As per usual, our developers have been working hard to bring you an exciting update this month. There has been a lot of work in the background but there have been some great updates and new features released in this update, the highlights of which are below:
GLS-Ireland – New Integration
You know I love shouting about new integrations and today I’m happy to announce our support for the courier service GLS-Ireland.
This is a fully functional courier integration including label generation, manifesting and even the ability to cancel consignments through StoreFeeder which is something not all couriers allow.
Before creating a new integration with GLS-Ireland you should confirm with GLS their business conditions. You’ll also want to request an API username and password from your GLS-Ireland account manager as well.
Creating a GLS-Ireland integration is extremely similar to any other courier integration; you’ll need to, first, navigate to the Integration Manager page (Settings -> Integration Manager) and click the green “+ New Integration” button in the top right.
From there, select the courier option, followed by GLS-Ireland and then “+Add Integration” as shown below:
Finally, all you need to do is add your API username and password that GLS-Ireland have provided you and hit the save button at the bottom of the page.
Don’t forget, now that yu have succesffuly integrated with GLS-Ireland, you’ll need to create shipping methods and rules for your new services; refresher guides on how to do so can be found here:
Product & Listing Import History
This new feature is exclusive to admin users on StoreFeeder so if you think you need to use this, you’ll need to explore the option of having admins rights with a pre-existing admin user in your organisation.
You can find the history tab on the left hand side of the product & listing import/export page as shown below:
You’ll also see, on the above image, the information presented for each record of an import. You’ll be able to see who carried it out, when it happened and what was changed.
Two Letter ISO Code for Courier File Export
A small but potentially very anticipated update for some users. A new token has been added to the courier file export template for two letter ISO codes.
There was actually one already in existance for THREE letter country codes; however, some couriers require two instead and would flat-out reject the file if it had three letter codes on it.
Remember that, if you want to use this token, you’ll need to add it to your courier file export template – this can be found by editing the courier integration you are wanting to add it to and scrolling to the bottom of the page.
You can also use this new token on your order export template if you so wish!
Pricing Profiles – Sold Last X Days
A quick one for our pricing profiles users – we have a few new “Sold Last X Days” tokens. We already had a “Sold Last 7 Days” token in place but we’ve expanded on that with the following new tokens:
- Sold Last 30 Days
- Sold Last 60 Days
- Sold Last 120 Days
There have been some great new features and fixes implemented in this release and we hope you find them useful in one way or another.
As always we’ll keep working hard to provide you with the best service we can.
From all of us here at StoreFeeder, happy selling.
